A quiet workspace for freelance work
Project management for freelancers and small studios, without the noise.
Zolodek is a small, opinionated project workspace for solo operators and tiny studios. Projects, a timeline, quotes and invoices. That is the whole app.
Ten focused surfaces. One quiet workspace.
Zolo is free while we are still small.
Zolo is your studio’s quiet second brain. Ask it about a project, draft a quote, chase a milestone, or just think out loud. For everyone who signs up early, it stays on the house.
- Unlimited chats, no message caps.
- Wired into your projects, tasks, and timeline.
- Same price whether you are on Personal or Pro.
- Locked in for you, even after Zolo becomes paid.
No card. No trial clock.
Meet Zolo, the AI in your workspace.
Pick a prompt. Zolo will walk you through the same kinds of answers, chip-based follow-ups, and quick actions you get inside the app. No sign-up, no card.
- Ask what to focus on today.
- Spin up a project with a few clicks.
- See the whole studio at a glance.

Try
Not everyone wants an AI in their sidebar. Fine by us.
Zolo is on by default because most people like the nudge. If you would rather work in the quiet, flip one switch in Settings and every AI surface disappears: the mascot in the header, the floating chat, the /zolo module, all of it. Switch it back on the moment you change your mind.
- One toggle in Settings, no dialogs, no downgrade prompts
- Per person, not per workspace, so teammates can disagree
- Turning it off never touches your projects, tasks, or invoices

Every project on one line
A timeline you can grab, not just read.
Bars are the projects you have on your plate. The dashed line is today, sweeping right; milestones pulse as it passes them. Drag any bar to reschedule and the plan updates around it.
- Lanes keep parallel work legible at a glance
- Milestones travel with the bar you drag them on
- A moving “now” line shows what should be underway
Drag a project to reschedule it. Click anywhere for a ripple.
Your work, on paper
The things you actually make, all in one drawer.
Invoices you send. Quotes you draft. A sticky note of what's due this week. The milestone the client is waiting on. Zolodek keeps all of it in a single, quiet place.
- Invoice with client, amount, and status
- Quotes you can accept and turn into an invoice
- Tasks and milestones pinned to the timeline
- One currency per document, so totals stay honest
Hover a paper on the right. Nothing here is a screenshot.

A short honest note
This is not for everyone.
Zolodek is small on purpose. There is no board view, no chat, no AI summariser, no email inbox, no automation designer. If those are the reasons you switched tools last time, this is not the tool you are looking for.
It is for freelancers, contract designers, small studios and two-person shops who want a project workspace that sits in the background. Something you open, do the thing, and close.
If that sounds like a relief, keep scrolling.
The whole surface area
Eleven surfaces. Nothing to switch off.
Every feature below is in the app today. There is no roadmap section because there is nothing hidden behind one. If we build something new, you will see it here.
What's inside
Everything you need to run a studio. None of the sprawl.
Eleven focused surfaces, one calm workspace. Skim the headline on each, read the fine print if it lands.
Dashboard
See the whole quarter in one glance.
In-flight projects, open tasks, what has slipped, and the money committed. No dials to twist.
Projects and sub-projects
Nest the messy jobs. Progress rolls up on its own.
When a project has a project inside it, keep the parent. Colours and status stay consistent all the way down.
Timeline
A Gantt chart that doesn't shout.
Every live project on one calm bar chart. Zoom by day, week or month. Overdue bars quietly turn.
Tasks
Due dates and priorities. That's it.
Per project, nothing to configure, no boards to keep tidy. Add, tick, move on.
Milestones
Only the checkpoints that actually move the needle.
They pin themselves to the timeline and the coming-up feed, so the important dates surface on their own.
Quotes and invoices
Quote to accepted to invoiced, in three clicks.
Draft, mark accepted, convert. Numbers stay in the currency they were created in the whole way through.
Clients and contacts book
One book for every person you have ever worked with.
Clients, leads, collaborators, subcontractors. Each entry links back to their projects and every document you have ever sent them. No hunting through inboxes.
Team
Invite by email. Access is scoped, not shouted.
Owner, editor, or viewer. Give the right person the right lane and forget about it.
Multi-currency
Rupees stay rupees. Dollars stay dollars.
Bill in whatever the client pays you in. Dashboard totals never quietly add currencies together.
Vault
A private locker for logins and API keys.
Zero-knowledge secure storage. Everything is encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know, so not even we can read it.
Zolo AI
An assistant that reads your workspace, not the internet.
Ask about a project, a client, a receipt, a task. Zolo answers from what is actually in your workspace. On by default, off in one click, and every surface it powers goes with it.

No polish that vanishes after signup. What you see here is what arrives when you log in.
